Biography

Throughout my photography experience I have found out that I am skilled at straight photography. Taking things with the macro setting have come out the best in my opinion. I am also good at adding filters and changing the curves on Photoshop to bring out the color and contrasts better. Even though I lack a bit of ability when it comes to Photoshop and certain other photography projects I enjoy it and find that I am fairly skilled at taking pictures, especially when the environment is organic like a flower or a plant.

Hybrid: Portraits

This was done by taking two images and combining them into one, still seeing features of both.

Shapes: Seasons

This was done by taking a picture of the same tree in the summer then in the winter. The winter tree is the background picture and using Photoshop the summer tree was able to be shown in different geometric shapes throughout the picture.

Panorama

A Panorama is a setting on cameras that allows you to take pictures that are longer than if on a normal camera setting. This being said you could also take vertical panos. Then with Photoshop you can make the pano round leading it to look like a planet.

Shapes: Silhouette

These pictures were taking in sunrise at a window that faced the sun and captured the outline in black of the person standing in front of it being able to capture pictures that spell out the word "Enjoy" and pictures that display mood.

Color: Portraits

Like many of the previous projects these pictures were taken in the dark with colored light instead of white light. It colored the picture making an interesting impact upon the picture. The other pictures are Values: Portrait pictures that have been overlaid with pictures of paint in the sink.

Sun Burst/ Shadows

While the sun is rising is the best time to take these kinds of shots. When the camera is pointed at an object that is also facing the sun it causes sun rays to show up when the picture is taken creating the sun burst effect. During this time you can also see bold shadows making it easy to manipulate them and take picture of them as well.

Color Emphasis

These are some macro pictures that had their backgrounds saturated and the curves in the colorful sections changed to make the color pop and be the emphasis of the picture directing the eye straight to it.

Texture: Portraits

These are the Values: Portraits but the skin of the person was replaced with a texture taken with the macro setting and then manipulated into being the texture of the person's skin.

Miniature Scale

This is simply taking a picture of a person does the action you with to place with the setting then taking a picture of the setting. Once you have done this you can enter photoshop and change the size of the person and then add them to the picture of the setting.

Values: Portrait

Taking a picture in the dark and manipulating the lighting to take high contrast pictures is the first step to this. Then onto Photoshop and change the saturation creating this black and white filter for it and making sure to change the curves into high contrast.

Macro- Pop Art

Taking pictures under the macro setting and manipulating them on Photoshop is how pop art in these photographs was accomplished. By adding four pictures in one area organized like in the pictures below and changing their color balance gives it this pop art effect.

Macro- Sepia

With the macro setting on cameras you can take clear, close pictures. Then by going into Photoshop and manipulating lighting, saturation, and color balance it gives you a sepia filter.

Paper Sculpture

This was taken at a vantage point in a dark room with flashlights lighting in specific areas to get a dramatic effect with high contrast. The paper sculpture was created by cutting out and gluing spirits and different shapes onto a large piece of paper.
